FHE
We got this really fun recipe from my mom-fancy carmel apples. We wanted to try them before we made them for our leadership training meeting. It was hard to get the carmel to lay nicely but it tastes really good with the carmel, chocolate and then the candy toppings.
Very fun!
After the carmel we dipped them in chocolate and sprinkled them with other toppings. Nuts, white chocolate, heath bar, butter finger and coconut.
We had our leadership training meeting last night and finally ate all these carmeled apples! It went really well and we had a good laugh about the "chewy" quality of the carmel.
crafty, craft
We made the "monkey wrench" square this last week. It was great to learn tips on sewing triangles and putting it all together. It has been really fun to take this class and meet new people.
It is now starting to look like something. I can see the pattern coming together. I love the colors of the Amy Butler fabric and have some left over to do something with?

Stake Temple Day...
Wednesday night we had our stake temple day. This year we decided to plan a youth baptism trip. It got a little complicated and we ended up with a youth group of 43. The workers were excited but very busy. At one point the laundry was backed up and they had no socks. It all worked out and we had a great time.
I drove the 4th ward YW out and we had fun talking in the car. Of course boys and which ones they liked! And we had to stop by MacDonald's for dessert! These YW are the best and so sweet.

Bryant Park...
So it is over! Project Runway finished another session. And I finally found time to watch the finale which featured three women. I had a favorite designer from the beginning of the show and enjoyed watching their creativity throughout. The finale was great to see how different each individual was in there designs and the overall fashion show. Beautiful clothing and designs. One of my simple pleasures.
If you have not seen the show it really is inspiring. Just check out their pictures.
Sodus Point
We took a few hours on Saturday and enjoyed the beautiful fall leaves. Did I mention that I love this time of year? We went to Sodus Bay. There is a light house overlooking the lake that has been there since the late 1800's. Along the way we found pumpkin patches, farmers markets, corn fields, apple orchards and grape vines.
It was a very clear day with a bright blue sky. With that it meant that it was a very cold day!! I was not prepared for those tempatures however, it was a much needed break before our Barn Dance and busy Sunday! Sorry for all the pictures.

This is the view from our living room. And we have watched this tree go from green to yellow to bright orange. It is so beautiful!
I love the combination of the painted pumpkins.
Beautiful!

here fishy, fishy...
packer time
Packers arrived late Saturday night and spent the week with us. It was so fun to see them and so great to have family here! Despite working, church meetings and several doctors visits we did some really fun things and had a relaxing vacation.
