YW High Adventure

We had the best time in the Adirondacks this year with the YW from the stake and the leaders. I think it was the best group we have ever had.

the first day was mostly travel and setting up camp. we hung out at the lake and enjoyed the camp fire

the second day was the long hike and it ended up being a lot longer than we thought. Wright's Peak 4800 feet with a gorgeous view. for our entire group to finish the 8 mile hike it took us 10 1/2 hours...ah! It was full of drama.

the third day was another hiking day...mount joe or the avalanche pass

the view from the top of mount joe~the lower of the two peaks is wrights peak and the lake is where we were camping~lake heart!

one of the YW wanted to learn how to fly fish so in the evenings chris would practice and then they spent time on lake heart....full of bugs but not so much fish! It was fun though.

and finally broke camp, drove to the Olympic stadium and played with the luge, the bobsled and then watched the hopefuls practice after riding the chairlift to the top of the ski jump. it was very fun and interesting to watch.
